Description The Department of Computer Science of the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for a term faculty appointment for Academic Year 2018-2019. Rank will be dependent on experience and stature in the field. The appointment is a 9-month position and will commence on August 27, 2018. The position is potentially renewable. The Computer Science Department offers both a BS and a MS in computer science. The undergraduate major has been experiencing rapid growth. As of Spring 2018, the department had 93 students registered as majors and 12 as minors. Learn more about the department at https://www.american.edu/cas/cs/. Qualifications: Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science. Highly qualified applicants with a master’s degree in Computer Science will be considered. The ideal candidate will be an inspiring teacher with demonstrated excellence in entry-level Computer Science courses.
