Assists the nursing staff and physicians by maintaining an efficient operation with the goal of delivering optimal, technical patient care. If hired prior to 1997: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. High school diploma or equivalent required. 2. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support or Heart Saver First Aid within 30 days of hire date. If hired after 1997: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program 2. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support or Heart Saver First Aid within 30 days of hire date. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Registration or Certification preferred. EXPERIENCE: 1. One-year experience as a Medical Assistant or patient care preferred.
