The Pharmacy Practice Resident develops advanced skills in the areas of patient care, drug information, and pharmacy administration. This position also builds upon previous education and experience in pharmacotherapy management by working closely with healthcare providers. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS: Participates in training and educational activities of the residency program. Displays initiative in providing optimal patient medication therapy outcomes through clinical pharmacy services, education, special projects, innovative services, and other appropriate activities. Interprets and processes physician orders, and monitors drug interactions, allergies, and incompatibilities. Dispenses and performs the final check of all medications provided for patient use.
