Labcorp’s Brentwood, Tennessee , lab is seeking a remote Cytogenetics Analyst (FISH) to join their team! The position will focus primarily on dry lab/analysis of FISH cases. Work schedule: As needed/per diem: Please note: This position is remote with the possibility of work travel once or twice a year. Candidate can be located anywhere in the U. S. and must meet the Work from Home Requirements listed below. Job Responsibilities: - Perform routine procedures including tissue culture, harvesting, slide making and banding, automated karyotyping, reagent preparation, and FISH processing, probing, and scoping. - Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria - Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures - Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality - Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving. - Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls - Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care - Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality contro...
