JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a Packaging Engineer at Abbott Olst! About the role: As Packaging Engineer, you will be part of the regional EMEA Packaging team and based at Abbott’s Olst manufacturing site in the Netherlands. You will be responsible for the development, qualification, optimization, and technical support of packaging materials and systems used on Sterile and Oral production lines.You will work closely with cross‑functional partners including Process Optimization, Quality, Procurement, and Production, ensuring that packaging solutions are robust, compliant, and fit for purpose in a regulated manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities: Packaging Development & Optimization: Evaluate, develop, and qualify packaging systems and materials in line with regulatory and internal requirements. Identify and drive packaging optimizations, including cost improvements, material changes, and performance enhancements . Provide troubleshooting support to production departments for packaging‑related deviations and issues. Support investigations related to internal and external customer complaints involving packaging.
