Description Centre College invites applications for a two-year position as Visiting Assistant Professor of Religion, beginning in August 2026. Candidates must [be ABD or] have a Ph.D. in Religious Studies or a related field] by the time of appointment. We strongly encourage applications from candidates who are committed to undergraduate education, will contribute to the depth of our faculty, support our flourishing student body, and utilize a variety of pedagogical practices. The successful candidate will teach 18 credits (6 courses) per academic year, offering classes in the Religion Program as well as our general education curriculum (including first-year seminars). The area of specialization is open; however, some preference may be given to those scholars who can teach Introduction to Islam.
