Collections Specialist

Job description

Description Responsibilities and Duties: - Track and resolve outstanding payment issues and generate weekly aging reports in a timely manner. - Initiate calls and/or correspondence with customers to inquire about outstanding A/R balances. - Place collection calls and initiate written correspondence to customers. - Monitor and maintain assigned accounts - customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write off and customer reconciliations. - Conduct account research and analysis to resolve billing disputes and payment discrepancies. - Reduce delinquency for assigned accounts. - Enlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process. - Communicate and follow up effectively with direct manager regarding customer accounts on a timely basis. - Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customers and company staff. - Weekly and monthly reporting to direct supervisor. - Reconcile customer disputes as they pertain to payment of outstanding balances. - Meet defined department goals. - Retain procedural information with note taking. - Provide top notch customer service to both internal and external customers...
