Job description

The Environmental Services Technician cleans and services an assigned area of the Hospital in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition. Adheres to Butler Hospital Service Standards. Union, Per Diem: Demonstrates competence and compassion in day-to-day interactions with patients, family members, or friends that may be present, either as patients or visitors at Butler Hospital. - Maintains a cleaning cart in an orderly condition, keeping the cart fully stocked with required cleaning supplies. - Responsible for removal of all waste including regular rubbish, cardboard, recycle confidential paper, hazardous material. - Follow proper procedures concerning hazardous waste disposal and handling. - Cleaning and disinfecting of restrooms completely. - Replenishes all supplies: soap, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and paper towels. - Daily disinfecting of (all assigned areas) offices, corridors, elevators, stairwells, patient rooms and cleaning/making beds that are vacant due to patient discharge or transfer. - Performs project work such as wall washing, window washing, curtain changing with use of ladder, cleaning of waste containers, floor buffing, refinishing floors, floor scrubbing,...
