Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Class A Driver will operate a 1-ton truck with a gooseneck trailer to pick up, transport, and deliver materials between TAS warehouse facilities and vendor sites in the greater Houston area. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Performs pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe working conditions of truck and trailer - Verifies items being picked up or delivered - Manages basic automotive and equipment repairs and cleanliness - Loads and unloads truck by hand, forklift, or other equipment in accordance with TAS best practices - Assists warehouse with transactions as needed and available - Set up and monitor DOT Compliant Driver Files - Conduct Road Tests of all perspective TAS Drivers - Make recommendations to the Logistics Manager and EHS Manager to better the DOT - Program for FMCSA and TXDOT Compliance - Other duties as assigned by TAS JOB SKILLS: - Strong organizational skills - Safely operate a forklift - Safely operate a motor vehicle in a variety of traffic and weather conditions - Demonstrate strong customer relations - Computer literate (All office products) - Excel/ Word/ Power Point proficiency - Verbal and written communication - Able to th...
