Description The Social Sciences Collegiate Division at the University of Chicago is now accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Senior Instructional Professor who will teach in and contribute to the management and administration of the Social Science Inquiry sequence in the Social Sciences Core. The appointment is renewable, with an initial term of three years, beginning September 1, 2026. The Senior Instructional Professor will teach four quarter-length courses each academic year in the Social Sciences Division and Collegiate Division, primarily in the Social Science Inquiry sequence. In addition to teaching, the Senior Instructional Professor will contribute to the ongoing development of the sequence’s curriculum, partner with the sequence Chair with curricular matters, provide leadership continuity given rotating faculty involvement, coordinate the collective reading list with section instructors and the University Library, work with administrators on sequence-related events or expenditures, assess the performance...
