Department: 34513 High Point Medical Center - Nursing Critical Care: MICU Status: Part time Benefits Eligible: No Hou rs Per Week: 12 Schedule Details/Additional Information: One 12 hour night weekend shift per week Pay Range: $19.80 - $29.70 The Nurse Technician performs patient care, nursing tasks, and clerical duties – including acting as a unit receptionist and providing information to patients, families, visitors, and staff. The Nurse Tech also assists the Licensed Nurse as needed. What You’ll Need: - High School Diploma or GED - Completion of a North Carolina State Approved Nurse Aide I course - BLS certification Key Responsibilities: - Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, maintain a safe environment, and assist with activities of daily living. - Communication: Relay messages, answer phones, and maintain records. - Patient Information & Documentation: Record vital signs, fluid intake/output, and patient data. Collect specimens. - Patient Dietary Assistance : Prepare, assist, and document patient meals. - Patient Transfer/Discharge : Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
