Job description

Overview The faculty will be responsible for educational leadership and student instruction on a part-time, face-to-face basis in mathematics courses. Instruct and evaluate students in one or more of the following courses, with emphasis on relating mathematics instruction to technical programs: Pre Algebra, Elementary Algebra I & II, Career Mathematics, Structures of Mathematics, Topics in Mathematics, Elementary Statistics, and Technical Algebra and Trigonometry. Qualifications: EDUCATION: - Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or directly related discipline. Required - Master's Degree in Mathematics or directly related discipline. Preferred LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: - Coursework in or experience using technology in instruction. Preferred EXPERIENCE: - Relevant secondary or college teaching experience. Required - Background which applies mathematics to the trades. Preferred - Experience with graphing calculators and/or computers in a mathematical instructional setting. Preferred ABILITIES AND SKILLS: - Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, faculty, staff, and the public.
