Job description

Purpose and Scope of Position: The purpose of this position is to work with maintenance personnel as well as contracted services personnel at the college campus. The primary objective of this position is to maintain school facilities, grounds and properties in a condition of optimal operating excellence, so that full educational use of the facility may be attainable at all times. Major Responsibilities: Responsible for the coordination of the maintenance and upkeep of physical plant facilities with campus personnel during assigned projects. Responsible for the safety of facilities during assigned projects and demonstrate and promote good safety practices. Work well in an organized manner with attention to details. Assist in the development of specifications related to contracted services, i.e., facilities, painting, landscaping, snow removal, etc. for all campuses in Lake County. Responsible for performing various craft skills in the routine maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment, such as, troubleshooting and making minor repairs to motors, pumps, air compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, heating and air conditioning units, perform wiring, plumbing and carpentry...
