Overview Kimley-Horn is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join the Columbia, SC office! This is not a remote position. Responsibilities: - Project Management role is in conjunction with lead engineer responsibilities. - Requires the ability to oversee the HVAC design of projects from concept to completion, including continuous interface with the design team and clients. - Proven design experience with comfort and HVAC systems and related controls - Proven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas - Experience producing engineering and energy studies including comcheck, Title 24 - Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability - Write responses to Requests for Proposals and Requests for Qualifications for various clients and marketing opportunities - Ability to work individually or in a multi-discipline team - Mentor and coordinate the work of designers and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects - Manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance Qualifications: - 8+ years of related experience - Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license...
