City/State Virginia Beach, VA Work Shift: First (Days) Overview: Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Patient Monitoring Technician. This position is on-site in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Position Status : Full-time, days: Position Location: Sentara Independence - Virginia Beach, VA Standard Working Hours : 7:00AM - 7:00PM, rotating weekends and holidays Overview: The on-site Patient Monitoring Technician will primarily function as remote monitoring for patients requiring continuous observation. The Technician’s responsibility is to observe and report high risk behaviors that may interrupt medically necessary therapies as well as patient safety and/or perceived changes in the patient’s condition to appropriate health care team members. Responsible for documenting the observed behaviors and need for redirection. The Technician will function under the direction of the Program Manager and/or Team Coordinator.
