Position Overview: - Department : OR - Schedule: 1100-1930, Full Time Days, Monday - Friday - Work Location: UAB St Vincent's East - Benefits for eligible positions only include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more What You Will Do: Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision. - Assists the operating room staff including the anesthesia providers with certain technical aspects of patient care. - Monitors and controls the operating room environment. Cleans and disinfects the surgical suite and/or reusable equipment and supplies. Disposes soiled linen and solid wastes. Cleans anesthetizing location. Cares for ancillary anesthesia equipment. - Transports patients, equipment, instruments, specimens and supplies. - Lifts and positions patients according to practice standards. Demonstrates an awareness of patient and personal safety. - Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living. - Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
