Description Position Function: Under the general direction of the Director of Programs and Initiatives, the Residential Programs Intake Specialist is responsible for screening and assessing all client referrals for appropriateness into each program. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date tracking of justified denials and matches to programs. Requirements: Education : bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology or a related field required. A master’s degree is preferred. Experience : Minimum of one year of documented full-time work experience in residential care, a child placing agency, or related work in a clinical setting. Key Expectations/Responsibilities: - Learn, understand, and support the agency’s mission, purpose, and function. - Must have excellent verbal and communication skills and the ability to review documents with a clinical lens. - Screen all referrals based on current openings, admission criteria, and identify T3C packages. - Collaborate with the referring professionals on receiving all necessary information to determine appropriateness for placement. - Enter and track all referrals in the designated data system. - Review weekly, monthly, and quarterly refe...
