Job title Host/Hostess: Reports to: Dining Room Manager: Classification: Hourly Fulltime, Part Time, Non Exempt Working Hours: According to shift assignments: Job purpose: Receives and seats members and guests with friendly, courteous and knowledgeable service in the dining room, banquet areas, patio and bar. Maintains order and cleanliness and handles complaints. Duties and responsibilities: - Greets members and guests entering the service areas or dining rooms and escorts them to the table, opens menus and places them on the table in front of each person - May instruct servers to change linen or to reset tables when necessary - Reserves tables for members and guests upon request - May receive and adjust complaints concerning food or service - Monitor the preparation of food and beverage products, as per recipe card standards, to ensure consistent quality, portion control and presentation - Provide menu suggestions to the F&B Director - Participate in the set up and breakdown of items for F&B activities - Greets all members and guests with an immediate smile, eye contact and a verbal welcome.
