Calibration Technician

SUMMARY: The Calibration Technician role is a key support function of the Quality Department and the plant. This position leads the IM&TE (inspection, measuring, and test equipment) calibration activity and is responsible for ensuring that all devices remain calibrated and in good use. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES (necessary competencies): Duties include but are not limited to: - Provide measuring and monitoring support to commercial and aerospace / defense manufacturing teams, engineering teams, quality teams, and others as needed. - Perform gage calibration on various IM&TE devices throughout the plant. - Coordinate calibration activities with outside service providers. - Maintain accurate gage calibration records. - Review and maintain appropriate procedures related to gage calibration processes. - Assist team members performing quality testing on manufactured items. - Identify opportunities for improvement in manufacturing and assembly processes. - Inspect stock and sort parts when needed. - Assist with First Article Inspection (FAI) measurements. - Support internal and external quality system audits. - Work collaboratively with all plant personnel to review issues and...
