Fleet Mechanic A POSITION SUMMARY: As a Fleet Mechanic A, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles, including truck tractors, trucks, refrigerated trailers, and other fleet equipment. You should be experienced with current automotive technologies and demonstrate strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. SCHEDULE: - Sunday–Thursday - Third Shift: 8:00 p.m. – until work is completed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Perform routine preventive maintenance (PMs) on all fleet vehicles. - Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty truck tractors, trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units. - Disassemble, repair, and reassemble major components, including diesel engines, transmissions, axles, and related systems. - Perform mobile fleet repairs on company property or during emergency roadside calls using a mobile repair vehicle. - Maintain a clean and organized work area after each job. - Wash or fuel trucks as required. - Perform basic facility repairs and company tool repairs when needed. - Maintain a safe, clean work environment and promptly report any unsafe conditions or tool issues. - Drive tractor-trailers and/or trucks f...
