Job Title Maintenance Automation Technician Position Overview: Position Objective: To perform the functions of an Automation Technician. Essential Duties (considering job knowledge, job environment, effort, manipulative skill, judgment, safety knowledge and responsibility): 1. Comply with procedures found in SMS 2. Perform all job duties using safe work methods. 3. Comply with Corporate Absenteeism and Tardiness Policy. 4. Work normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times. Work overtime as required. 5. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor. 6. Troubleshoot Automation System problems and facilitate necessary repairs. Determine cause of Automation System failures and take necessary steps to prevent recurrence. Determine if mechanical or electrical conditions exist that cause Automation System failures and communicate the problem to the proper personnel. 7. Responsible for documentation and communication of all new, upgraded or revised software, programs and communication equipment delivered. 8.
