Cooling Tower Technicians and Carpenters Responsibilities: Qualifications: - Build and repair wooden or fiberglass cooling tower structures in an industrial environment. - Work includes but is not limited to prefabrication of materials and the removal/ installation of materials located within the cooling tower structure, and installing framework such as tie-lines, columns, and braces. - Removal and installation of cooling tower internal components such as fills and drift eliminators, and exterior components such as fan decking, hot water basins, and siding. - Use of carpentry hand tools such as hammers, levels, squares, screwdrivers, adjustable wrenches, battery operated tools, drill motors, and pry bars. - Work within a team environment under the direction of the job supervisor. - Requires knowledge of construction safety and best construction work practices. - Ability to lift heavy materials of approximately 50 lbs., and carry tools of 10-15 lbs. - Ability to climb up and down ladders and heights using a personal fall arrest system. - Construction/carpentry experience required, cooling tower technician and construction supervisory experience preferred. - Must have an excellent wo...
