Controls Engineer Location: N. Charleston, South Carolina: The Controls Engineer will design, develop, and maintain electrical systems in a manufacturing environment, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. PLC programming and Ladder Logic skills required. Job Responsibilities: - Systems design and development: Design, simulate, and test electrical systems, components, and circuits for new and existing manufacturing equipment. Create and revise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using CAD software like AutoCAD or EPLAN. - Process Safety Management (PSM) and compliance: Actively participate in PSM activities, including Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs), to ensure that electrical designs meet all applicable safety standards, such as those from OSHA and NFPA. - Automation and controls: Design and program control systems using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), with specific experience in platforms like Allen-Bradley or Siemens often required.
