Department: Laboratory: Shift/schedule: Full Time (36 hrs/wk): GENERAL SUMMARY: Works under the supervision of the Transfusion Services/Lab Education Manager and/or the Core Lab Manager. The Medical Laboratory Technician’s primary job function is to perform and assess laboratory tests and procedures. Performs quality control, routine maintenance and other duties as assigned. Education: Licensure: Experience: - High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required - Associate Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent required - MLT licensure by ASCP or AMT required - Experience preferred JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS: The following is a summary of the major job duties of this job.
