Job description

Overview Adult Outpatient Programs provide the least restrictive level of care where adults may receive clinical interventions aimed at decreasing existing signs and symptoms. Outpatient treatment focuses on recovery, problem resolution, symptom reduction, stabilization and/or prevention of movement to a higher level of care. Treatment varies widely and depends upon the consumer’s presenting symptoms. Responsibilities: Nurses in an outpatient clinic are responsible for successful completion of the admission process, medication administration, regular communication with other clinical staff regarding the physical and mental status of the consumer, deescalating or resolving a crisis situation, and medication education for consumers and family members. Essential Functions: - Administers medication observing the 6 rights of medication administration and ordering of medications to the pharmacy - Completes admission procedures for consumers and updates accordingly to AltaPointe’s Policy and Procedures.
