Position Overview: - Department: Emergency Department Schedule: Available Schedules: - Full-time Days- 7a-7p:2 shifts, 7a-3p:2 shifts - Full-time Nights- 7p-7a - Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham - Birmingham, Al. - Benefits for eligible positions only include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more What You Will Do: Perform administrative and clerical duties in support of an assigned clinical area. - Greet patients and visitors, answer/screen/route telephone calls, files, distribute mail and performs other general clerical duties. - Communicate with patients, families, physicians and other healthcare team members about patient care according to protocol. Schedule patients for individual appointment and in a timely manner. - Provide assistance with programs/software for Physicians/Clinicians through the order entry processes, transfers and discharges. Assemble and maintain patient charts. - Coordinate meetings/schedules meetings/rooms with the appropriate person, send notices as requested. Maintain meeting minutes.
