Job Description This is not an official job description, but represents major responsibilities a new hire can expect to perform: You could expect the position of center store clerk to include the following: DUTIES: - Provide friendly and courteous service to customers - Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job. - Stock, straighten and rotate product on shelves in Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods., and Grocery Departments. - Process incoming product from our warehouse and direct store delivery vendors - Read and understand shelf tags - Sort damaged product for credit - Operate a hand jack, power lift and cardboard baler - Follow company safety guidelines when using cutters, power lifts, and baler - Maintain cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler and freezer - Maintain company productivity standards - Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management TRAINING: Training will be provided at store level. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Bending: Stooping Able to stock 50 cases per hour Able to work in a cold environment (-10 to 40 degrees) Able to push loaded two wheeler (average 100-120 pounds) Able to pull a loaded pallet (up to 700 po...
