MC: Chaplain (Full-time, Day Shift) - Job Summary: The Chaplain 1 performs general Chaplain responsibilities in harmony with the mission of the LLUMC. Provides counseling, comfort and advice on problems and questions concerning spiritual guidance. Conducts religious services and chapel functions for patients, families and employees. Participates and conducts community educational programs. The Chaplain's ministry encourages the wholeness of the patient and is an integral part of the total healing team. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Clinical Ministry, Chaplaincy or related field required. Two units of CPE required. Minimum one year Church Ministry or related field experience required. Minimum two years of Pastoral experience or Memorandum of Understanding and Agreement (MOUA) from Adventist Chaplaincy Ministries preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of professional theological and medial ethical issues required. Able to use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position.
