Position Title Pharmacy Technician II Olathe Hospital: Position Summary / Career Interest: Pharmacy Technician II - Acute Care Community, CAH, Behavioral Health is an intermediate level position. The Pharmacy Technician II role builds upon skills and competencies outlined in Pharmacy Technician I to ensure accurate medication filling and record keeping at the Acute Care Community, CAH, and Behavioral Health as well as timely delivery of medications. All work will be completed under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions: - Prepares medications for dispensing: Has above average efficiency while maintaining accuracy during preparation of sterile or non-sterile compounds. Uses knowledge and expertise to navigate the preparation of complex sterile compounds. - Distributes medications and stock items: Pulls and stocks ADS machines with high accuracy and timeliness and above average efficiency. Monitors quantities on hand and par levels; escalates appropriately to support medication availability. - Maintains Pharmacy Inventory: Escalates unusual use patterns appropriately.
