Linux Security Engineer

Job description

Overview CVP is seeking a Linux Security Engineer to execute and support the implementation of a successful Cybersecurity program. Responsibilities: - Administer and maintain Linux (RHEL, CentOS) Servers - Remediate server and software issues - Help with setting up and racking, stacking and wiring of equipment as needed in data center. - Investigate to determine root causes of security issues to perform troubleshooting and problem resolution to restore services. - Perform vulnerability remediation and patch validation - Remote management and troubleshooting of workstations and servers - Collaborate with application teams to perform system maintenance and patch management tasks - Provide guidance and support security activities while building relationships with key personnel. - Document and inform management with information about security information and event management. - Assess information assurance and security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands. - Apply know-how to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures. - Document w...
