Please upload a resume or complete the work history fields. Bindery Operator 1: Job Summary: Sheridan is seeking a Bindery Operator 1 to join our team at our Liberty, MO facility on 3rd shift . This position is responsible for operating a variety of auxiliary binding machines used in the production of books, catalogs, manuals, directories, magazines, and other finished products. Duties/Responsibilities: - Operate various binding machines containing cutting heads, control surfaces, and other attachments that work with other equipment to produce completed bindery products. - Inspect equipment for safety issues. - Operate automatic adhesive binding machines (perfect binders) to process collated sheets or signatures through various stages such as vibrating, milling, roughening, gluing, covering, and delivering or stacking the finished product. - Make necessary adjustments to coordinate multiple workstations on a single machine. - Direct crew members through all aspects of production. - Monitor quality, output, and productivity. - Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
