MRI PATIENT REPRESENTATIVE

Job description

The Patient Representative is responsible for supporting front-end patient access functions within the MRI department, including accurate patient registration, collection and verification of demographic and financial information, and insurance verification. This role ensures required authorizations and pre-certifications are identified and obtained in accordance with payer guidelines while promoting data accuracy, compliance, and a positive patient experience. Qualifications: Education: Minimum:High School or equivalent. Preferred:AAS degree in Medical Assistant/Secretarial Science or experience in business with emphasis on health care or related field. Medical Terminology. Experience: Minimum: Previous business office or retail experience. Preferred: One year related hospital, business, or physician office experience. Other: Minimum: Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
