Description The Department of Educational Studies at Knox College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning Fall 2022. We are seeking a colleague with experience in working with elementary and/or secondary school aged children as well as experience working with diverse communities of learners. The Department is particularly interested in creative, energetic teachers of undergraduate students who will contribute to equity within our community through engaging instruction and research. Candidates should have experience working with diverse populations of students and possess a commitment to teach successfully in a multicultural environment. The successful candidate will model, teach, and promote the department’s philosophy to help students become critical and transformative educators for social justice. We are especially looking for someone with a teaching and research background in Educational Psychology and/or Literacy Education. Additional areas of interest include math education, science education, elementary pedagogy, emergent bilingual youth, and assessment.
