The Internal Audit Department provides an independent assessment function over BBH’s activities to ensure that the system of internal controls is adequate and continues to be effective in mitigating key business risks impacting the Firm (Internal Audit reports directly to the Firm’s Audit Committee). Open communication between Internal Audit and the business is an important component of the audit process.
