Job description

The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions. Responsibilities: - Maintain a general ledger, perform period-end closing activities, prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly. - Manage tax preparation and filings (potentially with the help of outside tax advisors). - Manage employee reimbursements, managing syncs, payments, and reconciliations - Design processes or systems to maintain bulletproof financial records. - Work with the Accounts Payable team and all related activities such as receiving, downloading, and organizing all company invoices into a shared database. - Coordinate with the Procurement Department and end-users to confirm approvals and three-way match. - Perform monthly accruals and adjustments. - Maintain constant communication with vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders. - Resolve account discrepancies b...
