The City is no longer using ESS to accept applications. *Current Employees please include your ERN on your cover letter and resume. - Under general direction, with wide latitude for independent initiative and judgment, coordinate multiple aspects of special event planning for the Bronx Operations. - Assist the Borough Chief’s office with the coordination of special events held in Bronx parks; review proposals, conduct site visits, assess site fees and manage events on site. - Coordinate the creation, development and production of Parks-produced events. Supervise subordinate personnel or act as a team leader. - Review and process special event permit requests; provide follow-up as needed. - Work closely with the Bronx Borough Commissioner’s Office, Parks’ Operations, Citywide Special Events, Enforcement, Revenue and Legal divisions to ensure events are managed properly. - Prepare reports, maintain records and documentation pertaining to special events. - Conduct fre...
