RESPONSIBILITIES: This posting is to build a talent pipeline for future opportunities. - Grade 12 education or equivalent - Experience in institutional food service operation will be an asset - Food Handler Certificate preferred - Applicants must be able to speak, read and write English and be capable of following oral and written instructions thoroughly - Ability to perform related duties including standing, bending, walking and pushing carts through the department and hospital - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Ability to maintain a friendly disposition with patients - Neat appearance, good attendance and work record are essential - Able to work in a refrigerated environment - Must wear safety shoes - Delivering and serving meals to patients - Working on a belt line - Preparing patient meals/meal trays with dietary restrictions - Operating microwave/convection ovens - Operating and maintaining dish cleaning machines - Assisting with inventory as required - Delivering and retrieving meal carts and supplies - Pushing food supply carts between dock and department - Handling garbage bags - Maintaining work area/equipment to meet sanitation and safety standards -...
