Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $35.67 - Midpoint: $48.17 (Hourly N12) Department/Organization: 504132 - Elevator Maintenance: Normal Work Schedule: Varies; May include holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed. Job Summary: The Elevator Technician performs journeyman level work in the elevator maintenance trade involving the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical operations of elevators and lifts of various types. Makes hydraulic and electrical driven upgrades, redesigning old equipment that can't be repaired due to obsolete parts. Works with contractors to schedule major repairs and shutdowns. Inspects all work performed by outside contractors. Additional Department Summary: Must be able to be on call, be accessible by phone when on call, and report to work within one hour of being called. Must work shift work and overtime as scheduled, sometimes with short or no notice.
