Summary The Intern/Aide will contribute to research investigating how fusion oncoproteins regulate chromatin structure and gene expression to drive cancer cell growth. This role provides hands-on training in cell culture techniques, experimental design, and data collection within a collaborative laboratory environment. This position is ideal for individuals with an interest in basic scientific or medical fields. It is well-suited for those currently preparing for graduate or medical school and who have optional hours each week to gain hands-on experience in a scientific laboratory setting Key Responsibilities: - Perform and support cancer cell culture in both 2D (monolayer) and 3D systems, gaining experience with advanced in vitro modeling techniques - Assist in operating laboratory instrumentation and equipment required for molecular and cellular biology experiments (training provided) - Prepare reagents and solutions to support ongoing research projects - Accurately document experimental procedures and maintain detailed laboratory records - Collect, analyze, and compile cell culture and imaging data for research use - Support a senior faculty member and research team in day-to-da...
