Department: 37152 Carolinas Medical Center - Neurological Diagnostics: Inpatient Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 36 Schedule Details/Additional Information: 3 12-hour hour self-hour shifts. Weekend, call and holiday rotation required. Pay Range: $25.30 - $39.85 Essential Functions: - Performs routine and complex electroencephalogram (EEG) procedures, nerve conduction studies (NCV), evoked potential (EP) and others, depending on specialty area training. - Demonstrates knowledge of the equipment operator's manual and calibration procedures. Identifies and corrects basic equipment issues when they occur. - Performs Neurodiagnostic procedures using appropriate test strategy, electrode montage parameters, and calibration. - Obtains all relevant information from the patient's medical record history and progress notes, and transfers this to the technologist's report. - Adopts methods and instrumentation to obtain optimal results, based on medical history, clinical observations, and diagnostic test findings. - Adheres to the standards of practice for test recordings, as outlined by ABRET. - Maintains complete and accurate record keeping, including history forms an...
