Position Overview Under minimal direction, provides operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of secondary components HVAC equipment and all fixed and non-fixed, non-patient care HVAC equipment in a safe, effective and efficient manner in response to, or in support of, customer needs. This position also supports all areas of the Hospital maintenance and preventative maintenance programs. The Maintenance Technician - HVAC also performs a variety of skilled maintenance duties for the hospital’s Plant Operations and Facilities Services Department and is assigned to work for the Supervisor of Facilities Services. In addition, the Maintenance Technician - HVAC may be called upon to lead a group of workers on a project, teach maintenance skills to other members of the department, review work of outside vendors to report on discrepancies, as assigned.
