Job description

JOB PURPOSE: Process control of manufacturing lines, including the inputs such as materials, equipment, method and the training of people for safe and high yields operation while meeting design parameters of the product. Also, direct support for process engineers. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: High school. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 5 years. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications): - Experience with plastics extrusion. - Experience as operator in cable facilities. - Six-sigma and Lean experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The engineering tech will provide direct support to process engineers and be responsible for direct support of various manufacturing processes in the Carrollton Cable facility. The job functions include troubleshooting process related problems; development of new products and processes; design tooling, machines and components to improve existing processes; improve processes by performing trials and creating operating guidelines to document changes; Supporting introductions of new materials; Provide technical support to different departments.
