Sr Analyst/Accounting (Internal Financial Reporting)

Job description

The Senior Analyst/Accounting is an individual contributor in one of the following functions in the Controller’s area of Southwest Gas Corporation: Accounting Control, External Financial Reporting, Gas and Regulatory Accounting, Contract Audit, General Accounting, Internal Financial Reporting, and Property Accounting. POSITION DIMENSIONS: Reporting directly to this position is up to one exempt support staff personnel. The incumbent infrequently exchanges information with senior management and frequently exchanges information with department heads and professional level personnel within and outside the Controller's area, outside vendors, consultants and suppliers. QUALIFICATIONS: There are clear precedents and practices that the incumbent uses as guidelines to determine how this job is performed. This position requires four to six years of relevant work experience plus a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. Utility industry experience preferred.
