The base salary for this position is dependent upon experience and location. Location: Klamath Falls, OR: Salary Range: $47.50 to $52.75 hourly This position works a modified Dupont schedule and includes 208 hours of built in OT. Job Summary: The Control Room Operator / Sr. Plant Tech Operator (SPTO) performs primarily as the Senior Operator of all power generation equipment at Klamath Cogeneration Plant and Klamath Generation Peakers. The Control Room Operator/SPTO ensures that all equipment is properly operated in a safe manner and in compliance with all permits, rules, and regulations. They are expected to train in basic mechanical and electrical maintenance and contribute to a variety of maintenance activities commensurate with their skills and qualifications. This role is at times an individual contributor, a team member, and often times a group leader. As with all employees, the Control Room Operator/SPTO should continuously strive to better themselves as well as the team.
