DEPARTMENT: SALLY'S HOUSE: POSITION TITLE: CAREGIVER: STATUS: FULL TIME, NON-EXEMPT: SUPERVISOR: SALLY’S HOUSE PROGRAM MANAGER: MISSION STATEMENT: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. SCOPE OF POSITION: Caregivers working in Sally's House are caring for children in emergency situations for children 2 to 12 years of age that are removed from their home due to abuse, neglect, abandonment, or criminal activity. They provide a caring, safe, and loving home for up to 20 children at one time. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: - Must have a high school diploma or GED - Have at least one year of successful experience working with children KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: - Be at least twenty-one years old - Have the skills and abilities to work successfully with the challenging behaviors of children in care - Have effective communication and problem-solving skills - Be able to pass a DSHS criminal background check and a Salvation A...
