Job description

Responsibilities for the Utility 2 position include, but are not limited to: Load railcars and trucks with various materials. Fill coal hopper. General plant labor and clean up of production areas; observe, monitor and report any conditions that could lead to product nonconformity or other irregularity; being trained in various entry-level production positions and fills in as needed during vacation, absences, and increased production demands; perform kiln outage work including refractory; report equipment problems identified to management; complete equipment pre-shift report, if applicable; clean work areas; shovel stone from around conveyors; removal and installation of kiln refractory; operate small front endloader; replace or assist other workers as needed or directed; and other duties as assigned by management. Language Skills: - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. - Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
