General Function: Under the general direction of the Child Care Director, the Seasonal Day Camp Director shall be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of a licensed summer day camp in accordance with the Virginia Department of Education Child Care Licensing Standards and policies of the YMCA of the Virginia Peninsulas. The Seasonal Day Camp Director will be the go-to person for all things camp, and will include many responsibilities, all with the goal of creating a memorable and meaningful camp experience for all campers. Qualifications: 1. Minimum of 21 years of age. 2. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience required; core competency and course work required per the Virginia Department of Education Licensed Child Day Centers. 3.
