Employment Type: Full time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: Position Title: Paramedic II/ED Tech Department: Ambulance Location: Genesis Medical Center Schedule: 72 hours biweekly - rotating shifts Purpose: Provides the practice and delivery of safe, effective, ethical and culturally competent emergency care to patients of all ages in emergency situations who require stabilization and/or resuscitation as a result of illness or injury. Responsible for overseeing the daily operation when the Manager and/or Charge Medic are not available. This includes support for management of human, fiscal, material and environmental resources in accordance with hospital guidelines, organization/EMS philosophies and in compliance with regulatory and professional standards. Key accountabilities include fostering interdisciplinary collaborative relationships; making decisions in patient care/triage; ensure smooth shift operations; facilitate a seamless transition for the next shift that includes exchange of essential information; active participation in quality monitoring and performance improvement activities; promote evidence-based practice through research utilization or conduct of practice resea...
