Citi is hiring an experienced intellectual property attorney with a Patent Office registration and experience with trademark and copyright legal practice. This role requires a pragmatic, proactive attorney with a thorough understanding of intellectual property law, especially for operations in the United States. Responsibilities: - Managing the acquisition and maintenance of IP rights (e.g., patent prosecution, trademark clearance and registration) for a global business with a strong focus on U.S. operations. - Responsible for providing Citi businesses and functions with legal counsel on all manners of intellectual property law (especially patent prosecution and trademark & copyright law). Experience with IP litigation, trade secrets and social media is desirable. - Collaborates across internal lines of business, control/support functions and/or external counsel on matters related to intellectual property rights. - Manages day-to-day legal activities as an IP law expert. - Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicab...
