Job Title: Recreation Aide Department: Therapies: Location: Unity Living Center: Hours Per Week: 40: Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8am-4:30pm SUMMARY: Provision of recreation services in accordance with resident’s wishes and needs and program standards, taking place inside and outside the facility. Programming for activities both inside and outside the facility includes planning, preparation and clean-up of activity areas, equipment and supplies, communication with all other disciplines, inviting and escorting residents, leading groups, 1:1 services to residents and documentation of participation in computer. This position allows the aide to use their creativity and support resident's in finding their purpose, support their emotional and social needs and provide quality independent and group activities while working with the community in providing activities such as volunteers and outings. RESPONSIBILITIES: Leads or co-leads therapeutic recreation programs according to monthly calendar and staffing schedule. Programs include inside and outside the facility activities.
